Why can't I edit my pages or blogs?

When I click any page or blog to edit, the edit page doesn’t show any of the writing or media that’s already posted on that page. It looks fine on the website, but cannot be edited or viewed from my dashboard!
I get a screen with a blank white text box where the post should be, and I can’t even type in it. The only options above the box are “add media” “add poll add poll” yes it says it twice, and “add contact form”.
There are no options for font settings, links, or anything else. On the right hand side of the text box I cannot click “text”, it only stays on “visual”.
Strangely, if I highlight inside the box, some white text appears that has some relation to what is actually posted on the page, but is not the page in it’s entirety.
Please help me with this problem, I need to edit my pages and add blogs. The following is more information on my situation:
Computer: Macbook 2009, OS X 10.9.2
Browser: Firefox 28, also tried Safari 7.0.3 with the same results
Firewalls: turning them on or off on my mac did not help, I have no special security system other than what comes standard.Internet connection: through ATT WIFI router

Email: (email visible only to moderators and staff)I did: Tried to post new blogs from my dashboard. Tried to add new pages from my dashboard. Tried to edit blogs and pages that already existed.
I experienced: Only the title in the title text box for the pages/blogs can be seen or edited. The main body text box is all white, the content is invisible and the editing tools are not all there. Yet on the webpage everything appears as I posted it a month or more ago.
I expected: To see the content of each page and blog in the textbox, including photos, text, and video link urls. I expected to be able to edit these, and to add content to new pages and blogs.
Every page and every post I’ve tried to edit has this exact same problem!
I’ve searched the help forums for support and it eventually led me to contact you. Even though the asker’s problem was not exactly the same, I tried everything TimeThief suggested in this forum:

And finally she suggested contacting Support, and you guys were able to fix his problem! Awesome! I hope that’s what we can do here too!

Hi there, Zachary,
Thanks for the detailed description of your problem. When I view your Dashboard on various browsers, I am able to see your text editor without problem.
If you are able, could you attempt to log into your Dashboard and Post/Page editor using a different WiFi connection?
If you do not have a laptop or mobile device, can you log into your Dashboard on another computer and let me know if you are still experiencing the trouble?
Please let me know the results of these tests.
Additionally, when you see the white text box, if you place your cursor in the box and Select All (CTRL + A), Copy (CTRL + C), and Paste into a separate document (CTRL + V), has the text been properly copied and pasted?

Thank you! You are correct, I was able to edit the page on another computer just fine. It wasn’t the WiFi connection, just the computer. So the next step was to try disabling my web protection software (K9 Web Protection) and that did it! Now I can edit it from my computer too. I guess I’ll just need to disable it any time I want to make a change.
