Why can't I edit or publish new posts?

Why can’t I edit or publish new posts? Has WordPress changed? I have always used a dial up connection, and it has always worked before. I have been trying for days to post and to edit, but each time I click update or publish the same message comes up. It says the connection has been reset and offers to try again. Trying again produces the same result. I have rebooted my computer and waited until all was loaded each time I changed screens. No difference. I even tried to use an iphone agent. No help.

The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. It sounds to me like the connection is timing out. Please try logging in using the secure https:// log-in see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

Thanks, timethief. I checked and confirmed that my settings are set to always login using https. Any other ideas?

I want to add to this conversation that I am also having the same problem. I can visit other blog sites and comment but when I try to edit or load photos it won’t allow it to happen. I’ve also tried the https log in.

These are the troubleshooting steps we take whenever any issues like this arise:
clearing your browser cache and cookies > http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
updating the browser to the latest stable version (not a buggy BETA browser version) http://browsehappy.com/
confirming third party cookies is enabled http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61416
confirming JavaScript is enabled http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654
confirming Flash is updated http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and if required installing the latest version of Flash http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
resetting your router and modem and rebooting your computer
then logging in using the secure https:// log-in see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
trying another browserIf those do not work we need to know:

Just want to say thank you again time thief. I followed everything you listed here except changing to another browser and the last 2 items you listed here. I plan to look into it and will get back with you. At least I got a post out so I’m good for now.
Still getting the Error 107 and Error 324 but at least it goes through if I refresh it. Thanks!
