Why can't I edit text size on posts?
-
One paragraph on my page keeps coming out with smaller text. I can’t find where to edit text size.
Also, I don’t see where there is a “save” or a “publish” button– only an “update” button. I watched the 2 min tutorial and it seems like that was for a whole different setup. My new/edit page page doesn’t look the same.
Frustrated.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Could you point me to the specific post or page you’re referring to or just let me know the name so I can take a look?

I’m not sure what tutorial you were watching, but it’s likely that the difference you’re noticing is between our new post editor and classic post editor. The new one should look something like this:
You’ll notice two main things on that page. First, there’s a link in the bottom right-hand corner that will take you to the classic editor. Second, the “Publish” button or “Save” button will appear as “Update” after you’ve already published a page or post.
The classic editor will look like this:
Could you let me know which one you’re seeing on your side?

Its the “About” page. See the text under “Services”
http://isaiahsfigtree.com/about/As far as the editor, it’s on the classic version.

Hi!
If you check out the Text Editor for that page, which can be found here:
https://isaiahsfigtree.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=1&action=edit
You’ll see the following code in some areas:
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #333399;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Isaiah's Figtree is about cultivating a greater quality of life. We garden because we love to. We also want to connect people and plants in a way that is therapeutic/inspiring to people and healthy for the environment. Isaiah's Figtree is seriously committed to ethical and sustainable practices (really!).</span></span>The “font-size: medium;” styling that is being applied makes the text just a bit smaller. Can you try removing that styling and see if that fixes the issue?
As to how this code got there, did you copy the text from another word processor like Microsoft Word?
-
Yes, I copied and pasted it from a previous blog I had.
I don’t work with html code– is there really no way to change the size of text with the normal editor? Either the classic or the new version?
-
There isn’t a way to change the text size of particular blocks of text. You can change the text size of all of your text with the Custom Font option shown here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/custom-fonts/#adjusting-font-size-and-style
You could also use the styling dropdown to make text into headers, which would increase the font size (although a not-so-great workaround):
http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#styles
The alternative would be to use the HTML coding inside the Text Editor.
