Why can't I edit the published date?

  Can someone tell me why I am unable to edit the published date of a post? I have another WordPress blog and I seem to be able to do it on that one?

  Help or suggestions would be appreciated.

  You can edit the publication date on any post in the Publish module and then click “update” Doing that after it’s published means the first URL will become a broken link ie. 404 (page not found).

  To edit the Post go to > Dashboard > Posts > All Posts and hover over the post title then click “edit”. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/

  I know you aren’t scheduling posts but pictures ware helpful. See the images here so you know what you have to change.
