Why can't I embed a YouTube video to my blog from my Mac?

  I use both a Windows 8 laptop and an Apple Mac desktop machine. When I embed a YouTube video to my blog from the Windows machine it works perfectly however when I do it from the Mac, it won’t work at all. I have followed all of the troubleshooting advice, I have made sure that the link is in plain text and on a separate line, I have selected it and clicked the unlink icon and I have also selected it and used the keyboard command. Nothing works. When you preview the post, the link still shows as a link to click on rather than the video to play. I don’t have this problem with the Windows machine, I just ‘paste’ the link as ‘plain text’ and bam! it works. Very frustrating. Please can you advise? Thank you.

  That’s really frustrating and I can’t duplicate on my Mac.

  From your message, it sounds like you’re doing everything right. I’d like you to try just one different way of doing it to confirm the scope of the issue.

  Can you switch to the text editor (click “Text” on the upper-right of the post editor) and try pasting the raw URL there?

  Likewise, can you confirm which browser you’re running on your Mac?
