Why can't I embed my Medium.com profile in my sidebar?

  I want to display my Medium.com profile on my blog’s sidebar, and I can’t seem to get that to work. It will embed in a blog post, but if I put it in a text widget, it just displays the bare HTML (without hyperlink). Is there some sort of workaround for this, or am I just missing something?
