Why can't I exist on WordPress?

Every time I go to log in it says I don’t exist (patiencehcmason) although I just reregistered and got a new password FROM you. When I sign in it says the user name does not exist. I even added my cell phone so I must exist, but I can’t sign in. You sent me a new password and I still do not exist according to your log in page. my email is (email visible only to moderators and staff) if you would like to respond or help me.

http://patiencepress.com/ is not a free hosted WordPress.com blog and we don’t provide support for WordPress.org software at WordPress.com. You are posting to the wrong support forums. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have separate logins. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click this link http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

I do not blog on word press and patiencepress.com is NOT a blog. It is a site with a bunch of free information on PTSD.
All I want to do is comment on a wordpress blog by kate braestrup. Do you have to be a blogger to write a comment? I am under the impression that you just join in order to comment. It was wordpress.com that sent me the info that my phone was now registered and that I had a new login and password. Only it does not work.
I am extremely frustrated by the wordpress site. -
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have separate logins.

What is the URL starting with http:// of that blog?
Without the URL we cannot even begin to help you because we cannot tell whether or not it is a free hosted WordPress.COM blog or it’s a WordPress.ORG install.

When I try to comment on any wordpress blog, I get the same runaround. Enter my user name and newest password I’ve received from re registering at WordPress, and I get the same runaround. It seems like a programming error in the sign-in part of the site, and it is very annoying.

You are making a mistake. That blog there has nothing to do with WordPress.com at all, and so your login here won’t get you the right to comment over there. You’re signed in to WordPress.com now, and can comment on WP.com blogs. Go ahead and leave a comment on mine to test it.

I love you guys. You might try reading what I have written. When I try to comment on that blog or ANY OTHER WordPress blog, I get a sign in to WordPress page (http://www.katebraestrup.com/blog/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.katebraestrup.com%2Fblog%2F%3Fp%3D176) where I am supposed to enter my username (patiencehcmason) or email ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) which are offered me as options. No matter which one I use, it says it is an invalid username. I also use the password they just emailed me when I RE-REGISTERED on WordPress as patiencehcmason. Makes no difference. This happens on every wordpress blog I have ever been too and it means YOUR SYSTEM is screwed. If her blog is not a wordpress blog then why when I try to log in to comment does it take me automatically to a wordpress login page??

That is not a WordPress.com blog. You can sign in here as many times as you like and it won’t make any difference.
Her page is taking you to a WordPress.ORG sign in page unique to her blog.

Raincoaster has it right. You’re trying to log into a site that’s built with the WordPress.org software, which is separate from the WordPress.com blog network.
The account you have on WordPress.com is not connected to http://www.katebraestrup.com/blog/.
Separate systems. Similar name. Confusing, I know.
