Why can't I find my blog?

  *Warning: I’m a technology novice.
  Hello,
  I recently purchased a domain name from GoDaddy, and signed up to host it through WordPress. My blog doesn’t show up when I search for it on the internet, or enter my domain name. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Hi John,

  After looking into your blog, I found that your site can be found at the domain: jwsayre.com as seen in the screenshot below:

  

  As for searching for your blog, WordPress.com automatically sends notifications to Google with every post and page update. However, search engines can take 4 to 6 weeks (or more) to add any new sites.

  It will also take a couple of days from the time you created your blog for it to show up in WordPress.com search results. For more information please see this link:

  You can change your blog’s visibility to search engines by visiting Settings > Reading in your Dashboard, and looking under “Site Visibility”.
