Why can't I find my blog on search engines?

  Even if I put ‘public’ in my settings, I still can’t find my blog/website on Google through a simple Google search. As it is said that it is not necessary to verify my site with the Site Verification Service of the main Search Engines, I can’t understand what I have to do.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I have seen your screeshot and I find the issue quite weird…
  If I look for “Allyvan School” I can’t find it. My fifth result is my LinkedIn profile, where there is a link to my blog of course. Look at my research (sorry I didn’t manage to make a screenshot) screenshot:

  You’re welcome!

  We’re getting different results because I use Google.com and you use the Italian version (Google.it).
  In general, Google favors local results. This means that because your site has a .wordpress.com address ranks higher on Google.com. If your site has, for example, the address allyvanschool.it it would rank higher on Google.it.

  You have two options:

  1. Leave it as is and eventually your site will start appearing on Google.it

  2. Buy an .it domain and map it to your site, thus increasing the possibilities of being included faster on Google.it results.

  I hope I didn’t confuse you :)

  I think I’ll leave it as it is, since I would like to reach a global audience and not only an Italian one, also because I live in Ireland now.
