Why can't I get 'my' sub-domain?

  Hi.
  Feeling a bit silly asking this but I can’t seem to get floutsch.wordpress.com although it seems to be free. Although it says it’s reserved. I have the strong suspicion that probably was me myself quite a while ago. How do I find that out or how do I proceed?

  Mind, I don’t ask for login data or anything :)

  Hi there,

  If you log into WordPress.com with your username, you should be able to register that site at https://wordpress.com/start/

  We generally reserve WordPress.com addresses for those with matching usernames.

  Hi.
  That’s what I did. But after entering “floutsch” it only offers “floutschblog.wordpress.com”. Even when I go to floutsch.wordpress.com and click the link “Do you want to register floutsch.wordpress.com?” I don’t get it without the added “blog” :( I have no idea, why.

  Hi @floutsch ! Thank you for the feedback. We’ve found and fixed this issue – the system was saving the name floutsch.wordpress.com for you but somehow failing to relenquish it to you. Do you want to go ahead and try again now?
