Why can't I get my widgets onto my sidebat?

My widgets aren’t visible on the sidebar.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

In the Editor theme the icons at the top of the sidebar switch between showing your menu or your widgets. Clicking on the file icon should show your gravatar, contact infor, search, recent posts and all the other widgets you’ve selected.

Thank you, Luke. I finally figured that out. I felt quite silly not realizing what the file folder was for. Once I did figure it out, I spent the rest of the night cleaning out duplicates. LOL I also noticed I had a spelling error in my Heading for this topic. Now that was just embarrassing. Your advice is easy to understand, and I had not read anything like it in the support material. I need to take a step back from your answer and know where we are in WordPress to see that.
Mine are showing at the bottom of page and I want them on both pages please.
