Why can't I host a store on my website?
-
My copy and pasted ecwid store widget code won’t load or display my store widget onto the products page of my website.
I used ecwid because wordpress recommended it and I wanted to make sure website maintenance would be as easy as possible.
So how do I get my ecwid store code to display a ‘store front’ on my products page?

Hi there,
While we do allow ecommerce via ecwid on WordPress.com, you must have opted in for at least our Business package for your site, which we mention on the Ecwid help page:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ecwid/
You can learn more about our Business option right here: https://store.wordpress.com/plans/business/

Not traditional ecommerce, no I’m afraid not. You can set up a paypal purchase button if you so desire, but only their most basic button which links over to a single payment option on their site, but paypal’s more complicated options (such as their embeddable stores) do not work as the code gets stripped out.
