Why can't I import a wordpress blog into another one of my wordpress blogs?

  I have two blogs dealing with Hawaii Island News. One can be found at http://prgnewshawaii.wordpress.com and the other is at http://bigislandnewsman.wordpress.com. Sometimes I need to import material from the prgnewshawaii blog into the bigislandnewsman blog. I have been unable to import from prgnewshawaii since 03 March 2012. When I hit the tab for import on the bigislandnewsman blog, I am told that support is working on the data transfer and that i will be informed within 24 hours that the problem will be solved. Is my XML import editor at fault? Any help will be appreciated.
