Why can't I insert an image without it asking me to log in again?

  Image uploaded just fine but after I select it in the library and it appears in the edit window, the page reloads to the login page and asks me to log in. It causes all open pages to reload, in fact. When I log in, it takes me back to the correct page and point in the edit process, but the image and any changes made to accommodate it (e.g., an extra line space) are NOT THERE, and I get to try it all over again. So I cannot complete the post. Did not have this problem earlier today, and there is nothing special about the image or the post – far simpler than others, in fact. Image file is PCTtsl.pict.
