Why can't I 'Like' anyone's posts?
-
Ok, got it. What happens to the splogs, do they get tossed when reported and just try coming back in with new ID’s? I always assume the reason you see spam is because someone is actually buying it, sort of like telemarketing and direct mail strategies.

I had the same problem, exactly as described in the very first post. After reading a bit, I turned the option on to allow third party cookied – that solved the issue. Hope it helps someone.
Just wondering… Having to accept third party cookies to like an article on wordpress.com… why?

If you’re Liking an article on a blog with a mapped domain, you’re essentially viewing the blog at the mapped domain, but the Like system operates in an iframe through WordPress.com, hence the need for third-party cookies.
Some browsers are pickier than others with that.
You can check to see if you have third-party cookies enabled at http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

No one really answered my question to see if its a problem or not. I just started reading some blogs today, and my likes stopped working (and I wasn’t in the reader, I on someone’s page.) as soon as I click on another page and go back, the like is gone.

Per macmanx’s request, I started new thread because he thought my problem wasn’t pertinent to this thread. I don’t understand that, seemed pretty revelant to all the others that initially commented. I started new thread and no resolve. I’m still having the same problem…off and on. While I’d like things to work properly, it’s not my goal to garnish likes and I can work around the problems to like others, so I’ll leave this to someone else.

I too can’t “like” anyone’s posts anymore. Where the button should be clicked it just reads loading… :-(
