Why can't I 'like' other blogs any more?

  I’m noticing that, when I click the ‘like’ button on other sites. it isn’t registering. What’s happened?

  Hi there,

  Can you tell me what browser, including the version number you’re using?

  When you’re looking at another site, do you see the black WordPress.com admin bar at the top, or is that missing as well?

  Does it make any difference if you log into WordPress.com using incognito/private mode, or using a different browser, and then try to like the posts?

  I don’t see the black WordPress.com. admin box. What happens is that, when I click the like box, a WordPress entry flashes onto the screen for a split second, disappearing before I can do anything.
  I just have a free version of WordPress, which I’ve had for many years .No trouble before about a week ago.

  Google Chrome.I don’t know what version.

  Click on the three dots to the top-right and select Help > About Google Chrome. A new window will open with the version information. You’ll also get a message if you’re running the latest version and if you’re not, an automatic update will be triggered.
