Why can't I place a banner ad on my site?

  Hello,

  I followed the instructions carefully but I cannot place one of my affiliate banner ads on my page. What am I doing wrong??
  I would appreciate any help here.

  Javascript or iframe embeds aren’t allowed, so that’s a possible reason:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

  So long as the affiliate partner is reputable, you could try using a basic affiliate link, and link an image on your site:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-media/
