Why can’t I post a photo?

What’s up with wordpress? It seems like every week or so it suddenly doesn’t allow me to post photos. Posting through wordpress is totally unreliable so usually I upload my photos to flickr, choose the size I want and cut and paste my photo’s url into the post. Worked like a charm until recently. Now all that shows up is the url code. I feel like wordpress isn’t very image-friendly…

I just did that myself and didn’t had any problems.
Are you pasting the code into visual editor?
If you use your visual editor, use the button on top of it to post pictures. -

Often the ‘send to editor’ button on the upload utility just below the text box doesn’t work for me. (I use the latest Foxfire) I upload the photos using the utility under the text box, in another tab I open the Dashboard > Manage > Uploads, click on the photo I wish to place in the post, and copy and paste the url into the appropriate box in the “insert image” tool on the editor menu bar.

You’re probably running some sort of adblocker that’s blocking iframes. It’s come up before.
