Why can't I pull up my website?

  • Unknown's avatar

I paid the $13 and it’s no good to me now. I don’t know anything about DNS codes. What am I supposed to do? There’s no toll-free number and I need to get on now.

My site looks like I didn’t pay for anything. I can’t follow your support sites, so either give me a refund or email me.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You don’t need to know DNS codes to map your domain

Did you follow these instructions? Your name servers are not pointing to WordPress.COM – that needs to be changed at Godaddy your registrar

    Hi,

Can you let me know what trouble you’re having with our support documents, such as the one for mapping an existing domain? I’ll be happy to clear up any questions.

I see that you’ve canceled the domain mapping and got a self-refund, and as auxclass pointed out, since your name servers for jesusmcs.com weren’t pointing to WordPress.com, the domain won’t load your WordPress.com blog.

If you’d like to give it another try, please go to your domain registrar and change the name servers for your domain to:

    • ns1.wordpress.com
    • ns2.wordpress.com
    • ns3.wordpress.com

Then, add your domain in Store -> Domains of your blog dashboard, and give it a few hours (up to 72 hours) for the DNS changes to take effect.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I was having the same issue – I mapped it about 90 mins ago and now I can’t even go back to my domain.wordpress.com site. I tried another computer as well in case it was an IP issue, but no luck. I get an error saying Google can’t find it. I have also changed my admin to open in https.

(dankarvasek.com still opens to the old site)

Is this how it will be until the DNS changes take effect?

Loads fine for me – diagnostics look good

It can take 24 to 72 hours for changes to migrate to the far corners of the internet – changes usually start after a few hours – due to caching issues you will probably be the last one to see the changes
