why cant I re-crop my header picture?

  I uploaded a picture for my header. I was asked if I wanted to include the blog TITLE under the picture. I said yes. later I wanted to try the pic by itself WITHOUT the TITLE. when I went back to change it, I had problems.
  1. there was an option to remove the photo(but I could still find it in my media), but no option to upload a NEW Photo. no option to recrop the old photo. no option to remove the title from the header under the old photo. all the photo options that was there in the beginning is not there anymore.

  2. I found an option to “delete entirely.” I thought this would delete the photo from the media entirely, and then I could start from scratch with the cropping options that I had originally. but it actually deleted the OPTION of adding my own header. now I cant add my own header, period.

  ultimately, I just want to be able to add, take away or change header pictures as I choose without having to start a whole new blog LOL. do I have that option???

  Don’t go to Appearance > Customize, go to Appearance > Header.
