Why can't I reply to other comments anymore?

  For the past few days, when replying to comments on my blog and others’ blogs, my comments are showing up as a new thread instead of a reply to the old thread. I’m doing everything correctly; I select “reply” on the comment I want to reply to, type my answer, and hit the submit button, but instead of being a threaded reply, it shows up as a brand new comment thread on the page. On my own “Comments I’ve Made” section of my Dashboard, though, it seems to know that I’ve made these replies to people. I also have my Discussion settings set to enable comment threads 7 levels deep. I’d really appreciate help or a fix to this; if it continues, it could be a huge organizational problem for my (and others’) comment pages if I cannot reply correctly. Thank you!

  Try replying not thru the “Comments I Made” but thru the “Recent Comments” in the Dashboard
