Why can't I restore a previous version of a blog entry?

    I cannot restore a previous revision of a blog entry. For some reason most of my text and changes disappeared. i hit the “Revisions” button” and chose a revision to restore. I then hit the “Restore This Revision” button and it does not go back to this revision but instead reverts to the end revision where most of my text disappeared.

    What the heck is going on and how can I restore all that I wrote so I don’t lose what I just did the last hour?????

    Hi,

    An hour or so later I hit the back button on my browser and the earlier version appeared. It was this blog posting, btw:

    My arthroscopic knee surgery on my meniscus tear!

    Thank God that worked because I had inserted text throughout the photos and I would have had to re-do all of it.

    I still don’t get why it didn’t revert back to the previous version.

    Hi there,

    I’m glad you were able to recover the earlier version of your blog post. I took a look at the post you mentioned and did some testing on my end, and I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue you had with the revisions.

    If it happens again, can you please let me know? It’s possible it was just a temporary glitch, but if it continues to be a problem for you I can keep investigating it.

    Will do! It was weird. It would not let me choose an earlier revision, kept reverting to a version where all my stuff was gone. Thankfully I tried the back step on my browser!

    Thanks for letting me know. I just took a look at your blog and didn’t see the issues that your commenter described, so it’s most likely an issue that’s specific to their computer or internet browser.

    They are welcome to start a new forum thread in the support forum if they’d like further help with that. :)
