Why can't I reuse my name?

    good evening/day/morning/something!

    I opened up a new account for several reasons, and since you can’t delete your old account I changed the name and email and everything on it so that I could reuse the name (both screen name and username) but it tells me the name is already in use. I know for a fact that nobody other than me use that name, and I just deleted it like an hour ago so yeah… So now I’m wondering why and how can this be? and can I fix it?

    Unfortunately, once you changed your username under the old account, you are not be able to change it back or reuse it for a different account – the old name will not be available for you or anyone to use.

    Why did you want to set up a different account? When you say change, are you in fact referring to the username? If not, then you can continue to use that username under the old account and change the e-mail associated with it.
