Why can't I see my blog?
-
I get this message when I try to Preview a post:
PAGE NOT FOUNDWe cannot locate the page you’re looking for. Please check the address and make sure all letters are lowercased with no spaces.
I think there is something wrong with my web address, which is blogdotthenewcenturyschooldotcom.wordpress.com
I upgraded and mapped to a subdomain so that I could use this as my URL: blog.thenewcenturyschool.com
Blog url: http://blogdotthenewcenturyschooldotcom.wordpress.com/The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Did you follow these instructions?

I did, but that is what I see. You replied to me yesterday with the same question. I’m wondering why instead of periods, the URL shows the word “dot”; could that be part of the problem?
I’m totally confused and discouraged.

Hi thenewcenturyschool,
Rather than http://blogdotthenewcenturyschooldotcom.wordpress.com/ , your subdomain (blog.thenewcenturyschool.com) is mapped to your other WordPress.com blog:
https://thenewcenturyschool.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
What CNAME setting do you have configured at your domain registrar?
-
-
The domain registrar is where you registered your domain (thenewcenturyschool.com). You can log into your account at Network Solutions (which appears to be your domain registrar according to your whois information) to add the CNAME record.
CNAME records map a hostname to another hostname (like blah.example.com to yappa.example.com).
In your case, you’d want to map:
blog.thenewcenturyschool.com
to:
blogdotthenewcenturyschooldotcom.wordpress.com
…and it might look like this:
blog.thenewcenturyschool.com. IN CNAME blogdotthenewcenturyschooldotcom.wordpress.com.
For more details on how to do this at your domain registrar, you can view this support page and contact your domain registrar for specific questions on setting a CNAME record through their administrative interface.
