Why can't I see the gravatar I saved on the top right hand side of page?

    To whom it might concern…
    I have just started a new blog after some days of deleting the old one and was upset to find that my data still existed and all the info I logged to be in was still life although the blog is gone,this is very upsetting to know the data can never be deleted fully.
    However I am now trying to upload a picture for my new blog and on the right hand side next to new post and the name gloria there should appear a dolphin picture which I have uploaded cropped and saved and I just don’t see it………what am I doing wrong???
    This really bugs me,any help in solving the problem appreciated.
