Why can't I see the text in my search box?
-
Hi,
I just made a WP site on wordpress.com using the twenty eleven theme. I am having a problem with the search box in the main/top menu though. When I click on it to type something in to it, the font text is white, and the search box is also white, so I can’t see what I’m typing. I tried using different browsers to see if it was a browser error, but it was the same on IE, firefox and chrome. I tried switching color themes, but there are only two available, and both of them had that same problem. I love everything else about this theme and really don’t want to change it, is there any way to fix it other than buying the custom design option and changing the css? Thank you!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello,
Look for the section #branding .only-search in your CSS and change the color of the elements you wish to change. (Looking for codes for White will be the easiest way to find that places that you are experiencing issues with.)
Please let us know if you need further assistance.

@dinsanwp — Please keep in mind that @presleyseven is looking for a solution that allows her to resolve this without changing CSS.
@presleyseven — I have tested out the theme myself and I have noticed that I also experience this issue, but only after choosing a color palette, and only while the cursor is in the search box. After I click out of the search box, the text is visible again. I would recommend installing the theme again so that it overwrites those small customizations you did make. Then, as long as you don’t choose a color palette, you should have no problem seeing the text while typing in the search box.
