Why can't I select all in comments SO I CAN DELETE OVER 10,000 BOGUS COMMENTS
-
I looked all over support, and , since I can’t find a decent answer, I have to suppose WordPress has some vested interest in letting spam comments live forever on their pages while pretending they are against them. Please don’t respond with code. If I could code, I wouldn’t be using WordPress. All I want to do is delete over 10, 000 old spammy comments, so I can start with a clean slate. Why is there not a box I can tick to do this? I know I am not the only one, because a lot of people have asked and all been given the same unhelpful answers. If you can’t answer this, can you tell me if there is any way to talk to a real person at WordPress to suggest this?

Since https://ccuchesterville.wordpress.com/ does not seem to have any comments on it, what is the real site you need help with?

@auxclass – even if we can’t see them doesn’t mean they aren’t there hiding in the Dashboard. :)
@christchurchunitedchesterville – If this is indeed on your above WordPress.com website, and if these comments or feedback are in your Spam folder, you can click the “Empty Spam” button found there.
However, with 10,000 + spam comments you may need to do this a few times before they are deleted (with a lot of patience because it takes a bit before the page refreshes and you may get errors along the way). Alternately, and again only if this is on your WordPress.com website, you can add a MODLOOK tag to the sidebar of your post in the forum and request that Staff delete these for you.
