Why can't I unfollow a blog?

When I go to edit who I’m following, sometimes I get a message that reads: “An error occurred while trying to unfollow that blog.” It doesn’t do that for every blog I unfollow, only about half of them. This isn’t the first time I’ve had this problem.

I had that happen to me also and it drove me nuts. I had to get Staff to remove the blogs from https://wordpress.com/following/edit/ or otherwise I had to go to each blog and click the follow link on the Admin bar to unfollow them. However, that only worked for some.

I’m happy to remove the sites in question from your reader. If you could provide the URLs for the sites you’d like to unfollow, I’ll remove them from your site, as well as pass them on to our developers so we can figure out what is causing the problem.
