Why can't I upload images from a Sky broadband connection in the UK?

Hello! I’m having trouble uploading images to my WordPress.com blog from a Sky Broadband residential connection in the UK. Uploads are either incredibly slow or don’t work at all – the problem has slowly been getting worse since around the 9th August.
I’m fairly certain it’s a problem with Sky as I don’t have any problems using either my smartphone or my office connection and nothing else about my set up has changed, but Sky’s technical support are passing the buck and saying there’s nothing they can do. Can any one shed any light on this? It’s incredibly frustrating. Thanks!

Sky’s technical support are passing the buck and saying there’s nothing they can do. In their own words: ‘If all other uploads are fine then you would need to check with them [Wordpress.com] for any known issues.’

Yours is the first new “Sky” thread posted here. The others date back 3 months ago in time to the last issue.

Another reason I suspect the fault lies with Sky is that the image upload problem dates back to around the 9th August.
This was when a lot of Sky subscribers were completely locked out of their blogs, for around 24 hours, unless they logged in via https.
