Why cant i use a blog domain that no longer exists?

  Hi

  I want to create a blog called farnaz.wordpress.com but it keeps saying that ‘farnaz’ already exists.
  But when i go to it, it says the owner has deleted the blog.
  So why cant you release the name so that someone else can use it?

  i dont understand

  Have you done a search of the forum? There are lots of threads on it already, one is right on the front page a little farther down.

  Raincoaster: do you mean doing a search on wordpress for it?
  when i go to http://farnaz.wordpress.com it is a blank page

  The link is not blank. It says it’s a deleted blog. Refer to the link from thesacredpath above.
  raincoaster posted at the same time and referred you to doing a search of FAQ and forums for the same answer.
