Hi there,
Depending on what’s the code that you are trying to embed, some of it might not be allowed on WordPress.com due to security reasons – that code would be striped if you add it.
For information on what is allowed and what code isn’t, please visit our support page:
Thanks!

Is there any way that I can use this giphy?
<iframe class=”giphy-embed” src=”//giphy.com/embed/l3q2AqpbBJv2PbNPa?html5=true” width=”480″ height=”480″ frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen=”allowfullscreen”></iframe>

No. That code is unsupported.
We have code restrictions at wordpress.COM. No javscript, not form codes, or iframes from unsupported sources or third party advertising codes can be used on any wordpress.COM hosted sites.

NOTE: .gif is an accepted file type. In order for an animated gif to play, it must be full size when you upload it. If you crop after uploading it will not work.
Make sure the gif is no larger than the maximum width for your theme’s post area or exactly where you want to place it. If it is, then resize it on your computer before uploading it.

@Timethief is correct –
iframes are not supported on WordPress.com for security reasons, so if you put the iframe on your post/page, only an hyperlink will be displayed.
Hope this helps.
