Why Can’t I Use Index?

  I’m using the new Twenty Twenty-Two theme, but my Posts page won’t use the Index template. In fact, I can’t find the option to use the Index page anywhere, not under creating a new page or in editing existing pages. The only place it appears is as a template under the Editor. Help! I want the Index to be my Blog/Posts page.

  For what site is this? Your site at https://cohntravelogue.wordpress.com/ is currently using the Twenty Sixteen theme, and Twenty Twenty-Two isn’t available on WordPress.com yet :)
