Why can't l follow other sites anymore?

  For the past couple of weeks l cannot follow other blogs – I get this message ‘Sorry we couldn’t follow this site, please try again in a while’ – even after a while the message still appears –

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  What are the blogs you’re trying to follow? Please share the links to those blogs, and I can investigate that error message for you. :)

  Hi Rachel,

  The message comes up on a red band above the reader picture that l want to follow. This happens all the time – BUT strangely l receive an email saying l am subscribed and will receive emails each time they post – but the site does not show me as following!!!

  I think l understand what to do now; I have to open the site l am interested in and follow it using a tab that comes in from the lower right hand side – Sorry to inconvenience you and thank you for your help.

  Hi Dan,

  I’m glad you’re able to follow those sites when you open the site itself. That’s great! However, you shouldn’t get an error message when you try to follow those sites from the Reader.

  If you want, I can keep investigating that error with you so you can follow sites from the Reader, too. Do you get that message when you use the Follow link in the Reader like in this screenshot? https://cloudup.com/cHmT4z0iYdj

  Hello Rachel

  Yes l do – and a few seconds after clicking on follow the red band with the message appears at the top of the post. It was disconcerting initially but at least l can still keep following people l like. So if it means a lot of work for you please don’t bother.

  Ok, thanks, Dan! It would take some digging to find out why that’s happening to you, so I’ll make a note about that error but we don’t have to dig into it right now. If it becomes more bothersome to you later on, let me know and we can look into it more.
