Why can't my friend subscribe to my blog?

  Today a friend wanted to follow my blog “plainandfancygirl” and she went to my blog site on her smart phone and typed in her email with intent to “follow / subscribe.” All went well until she tried to check her email to confirm following and then she got an error message: “Your subscription has expired” (or something similar) which was puzzling.

  We tried twice to have her subscribe, each time with same result. Also, on my dashboard, I check “followers,” and she doesn’t appear there either. Barbara Holmes (email) (email visible only to moderators and staff)
