Why can't my readers comment?
-
People have been complaining that they are unable to comment on my blog. Example: Hi Janis, I just want you to know that I read your blog. I want to comment, but I can’t because I’m not on google+. I tried google+, but other bloggers complained to me that they couldn’t reach me for that reason so I quilt and went back to regular google. I tried to comment on your blog via facebook, but it said it would take all my email and friend list info and I don’t want to give all that info up and give away my friends’ information. But I will continue to read your blog. I just can’t leave comments. Sorry.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

From the Who Can Comment support page, bold added for emphasis:
Who Can Comment
You can allow only registered WordPress.com users to comment, or you can allow anyone to comment. If you allow anyone to comment, you can choose whether the name and email fields are required or not.
Your readers can also post comments using their Facebook, Google+, or Twitter accounts. Check out our support page Comment with Facebook, Google+, or Twitter for more information.
These options are available on the Settings → Discussion page under Other comment settings…

The only screen I use on the Discussion page is “Before a comment appears” [check box’ “Comment author must have a previously approved comment.” I think the social networks account options only appear as alternatives if your settings at Discussion require a visitor to be registered and logged in before commenting.

Thanks so much! I went in and changed my setting! You were a big help!
