Why can't my website get verified for Webmaster Tools?

    Why is my website failed to be verified for Webmastertools?
    I’m trying to verify http://www.nestgsv.com/ and I am using HTML tag method. I copied the tag and pasted it in Google Webmaster Tools (under Website Verification Services) and then saved changes. Then I pressed verify, but this is what I get “Verification failed for http://www.nestgsv.com/ using the Meta tag method (less than a minute ago). We couldn’t find the verification meta tag.”

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    It looks like your site is a self-hosted WordPress.ORG install, not a site hosted on WordPress.COM. (Here’s the difference) The two kinds of WordPress sites work a little differently, so to avoid confusion we don’t do support for self-hosted sites here.

    If you go to the support forum for WordPress.ORG, they will be able to help you there:
    http://wordpress.org/support/

    Note, it’s a totally separate website, so if you’ve never posted there before you’ll need to create a free account.

    That having been said, if you try it without the “www” it’s likely to work.
