why can’t you have a .com.au domain?

  I am wanting to set up a website ending .com.au however WordPress doesn’t allow the .au? Just wanted to know why?

  Hi there!

  We are not an accredited registrar to offer those extensions (TLDs), that’s why you wouldn’t be able to register that domain here. You can still use it with a site hosted here, though.
  You can register the domain elsewhere and map it to your site. Mapping a domain is free with any of our paid plans:
