why did I lose my text when I inserted a picture?

  I wrote some narrative for my first post. I then also imported a picture. The text remained and the picture appeared in the middle of the text as a HTML. When I saved it all, and then went to preview…the text was all gone, but the picture has been converted and appeared very nicely in the middle of the page. Where did the text go? Did I lose it? Can I retype it into the page where the picture exists? Thanks….

  I would need more information to know if your text is gone for sure, but re-adding it to the page with the photo shouldn’t be a problem at all.

  Go to your dashboard and then click posts>all posts. Find the post you were working on and click the edit link to open the edit window.

  Making sure you are on the “visual” tab (if you see the photo rather than the HTML you’ll know you are in the right place) retype your narrative.

  I appreciate the comment, but with my limited code knowledge I only have a vague idea what you are saying. Is the implication that regular text and HTML pic are incompatible on the same page without the backtick characters?
