Why did my share count stop updating?

Hi,
My share count has been the same for a while now. One one day, I had around 11 shares and overnight my share count jumped to 20+ and came to 27 eventually. Ever since then, the share count has been the same. AFAIK, even my own shares to Twitter should be considered as part of the share count right? But thats not happening, even though I continue to share on twitter. I renamed my blog so is that the reason?

Your own shares on Twitter should be counted in the sharing icons. I tweeted the following blog post out, and the Twitter count was updated:
Are you referring to a specific post? If so, can you point me to the post that is not updating correctly when shared?

There are two issues.
1. The old share count for tweets and Google+ are no longer being reflected in the sharing icons. This happened after I changed the blog name. For ex: I have tweeted the same link and still the Twitter sharing icon shows only 1 count. https://twitter.com/physicsandbrain/status/461031112945315841
2. The new posts’ shares are not being counted towards the total “Shares” in the “Stats” dashboard. -
Hi there,
When you change your domain, the sharing counts are reset. The reason being that when you load a blog page, that URL is sent off to the various social networks. Each network returns the number of total shares they’ve seen for that URL. When you switched your primary domain, the URL for each post changed therefore changing the sharing numbers. There’s currently not a way to move your old sharing numbers to your new domain.
Regarding the sharing numbers on your stats page, I shared your post this post on Facebook:
The sharing count in the button was updated as was the sharing count on your My Stats page here:

Are you not seeing this number update when you share a new post through Publicize?

The share count stopped updating for the following posts. I have shared everyone of them on twitter and some of them on facebook. The main share counter doesnt update nor do the individual buttons.

That’s very odd. When I share the post “How the ant colony behaves like a brain”, the sharing numbers (both for the post and total) are automatically updated when I refresh the page. I added screenshots to your Media Library as a demo.
Just to confirm, you’re using the sharing buttons on the bottom of each post correct?

No I am not using the sharing buttons to share them. Instead, i have integrated my twitter account with wordpress and automatically share each post when I publish.
