WordPress asked me to update from WordPress to wpcomstaging after I paid my fees and now I can not access my original web site. The only thing showing up is lbrassociationorg.wpcomstaging.com. There is nothing in that web site. The web site I need to access is: lbrassociation.org. Please help me get access to that asap.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there!

All WordPress.com sites on the Creator plan and active plugins/custom themes have the underlying WordPress.com address that ends in .wpcomstaging.com. This is not new and does not have any effect on your site, as you’d be using a custom domain as the primary address anyway.

When looking into the site you mentioned, I noticed several things:

    1. It appears the WordPress.com Creator plan had expired, which resulted in the site being reverted and set to private.
    2. The site’s original subscription was owned by a different WordPress.com account, @stephlbra. It looks like you (or the person who owns that account) created a brand new site with the domain lbrassociation.org instead of restoring the WordPress.com site that you already had. As a result, the domain lbrassociation.org is connected to a different site.
    3. In the meantime, you upgraded the correct site to the WordPress.com Creator plan, but you did so from @lisawest67, which is different from the original account that used to own the upgrade.

As you can see, due to all these different accounts and different sites, your site is not correctly showing up. The wpcomstaging URL is not the issue; it’s mainly that you are using two separate accounts and inadvertently created a new site using the other account instead of upgrading the correct one (and when you did upgrade the correct site, it was from a different account).

To untangle this, can you tell us if @stephlbra is your account? If so, can you log into that account and reply here to confirm?

Also, please click here and restore the site to an earlier backup/restore point. Don’t worry about the site’s wpcomstaging URL at this point. When the site is showing up correctly, we’ll get the correct domain set as the primary address.

    Regards
