Why did my vimeo links stop embedding?

    Videos linked from Vimeo with the URL address had automatically embedded in my posts, but now do not embed. Is there a new embed protocol for Vimeo links? I tried troubleshooting by using the ’embed’ code that Vimeo has with their ‘share’ button, as well as trying ‘http’ instead of ‘https’, but it still doesn’t work. Also, some of my links DID embed earlier, but now I’ve gone back and see that they are no longer embedded, so all of my links are now just hotlinks.

    Can you send me a link to an example of an older post that stopped working?

    In general, either pasting the video URL by itself (without it being a link) on a line by itself will work, as will using our Vimeo shortcode.

    With the Vimeo embed code from the Vimeo site, if you can add in http: in before the //player.vimeo… part of the embed code, it should work again.

    We’re checking into it as this is a new change from Vimeo and to resolve this moving forward. Thanks!
