Why did my WordPress blog stopped importing?

  I’m trying to import a WordPress blog that was hosted on a third-party provider’s (readyhost) to have it hosted on my new wordpress.com site. I downloaded the XML file and starting uploading it to WordPress and I got a message saying that “We’re processing your import now and we’ll send you an email when it’s done…” It has been almost 24 hours (I know it says to wait that long). The file size is only 2.4MB.

  I can’t find a place to stop it or reset it to try to upload again. I think it may be frozen or has stalled for some reason. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

  Hi there,

  Sorry for the trouble! The importer got stuck while working on your import. I just reset your site’s importer so you can try that import again. Please let me know if you have any more trouble with that. :)

  Thank you rachelmcr! Worked perfectly and I was able to upload my previous blogs.
