Why did one of my posts disappear?

I just went through my blog and discovered that a post I had written a week and a half ago that was there an hour ago is suddenly gone and no links to it work. What happened?

If the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needs be.

I found it in the trash. WordPress doesn’t move thing to trash, do they? I know that I didn’t edit it all today.

Your post would not have been moved to the trash automatically. Perhaps you accidentally clicked the “move to trash” link or the “Trash” link in the All Posts view?
At any rate, I’m glad you found it and were able to restore it. Please let us know immediately if this continues to happen to you.
