Why did the new theme delete some of my pages & is not allowing access to any?
-
I changed the theme on my website and now my pages will not come up. I get an error message saying that location can’t be found. And it has different names for the pages. Some have been deleted.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I see you are currently using the Toujours theme. Is that the new theme or the old theme?
Are the “missing” pages in your Pages Dashboard? https://wordpress.com/pages/ Were they sub-pages or child pages of the current Pages in the Menu?
It might be that you will need to recreate a Custom Menu or re-position the existing Custom Menu you created to be primary/top menu in the Customizer.

Hi JustJennifer,
Thanks for responding. The Toujours theme is the new one. Some of the missing pages are in my Dashboard, but others just disappeared. There are also pages showing there that I deleted. I don’t know about sub-pages. Please explain that. How would I reposition the menu? I would need help with that.
Thanks.

How do I customize menus and what happened to the disappearing page on my dashboard?
Thanks.

If you created a Custom menu following these directions, https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ you should be able to reset it to be the primary menu in the Customizer. See here for more info about the Customizer: https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/
However changing themes/menus shouldn’t have deleted pages even if the theme change reset a Custom Menu to something else. Take a look in your Pages Dashboard https://wordpress.com/pages/ to see if the missing pages are in the Trash folder. If they are, you can restore them from there. https://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash
I see on a cached version of your site at Google (temp screenshot) that your site was using Gateway and didn’t have child/subpages in your menu, so that is not relevant for us at the moment. If you wish to learn more about child/subpages later, see here https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ a bit further down the page.
What is relevant for us now is listing the missing pages if you don’t find them in the Pages Trash folder, so please list their page titles in your reply.
