Why did the pages in the custom menu tool vanish and how do I get them back?

    I had created several pages and was about to create a menu for them. When I entered the tool the pages appeared, but as soon as I clicked Create Menu, they vanished. Nothing I do seems to alter this. TONAL theme with custom menu widget added successfully.

    What tool? Where did they appear?

    You entered menu items into the Menu Structure area, then clicked on the Create Menu button, and the pages disappeared?
