Why did the sharing bar stop showing the number of pins?

  Recently the number of times a post has been pinned has stopped displaying. I removed and then re-added the Pin It button through the Sharing Settings page, but it’s still not displaying the numbers like it does for Facebook and Twitter.

  Hi there,

  The Pinterest sharing button was recently revamped. As a result, the sharing numbers are no longer included next to the button. This was mainly done to add in the image selector prompt (that lets you select an image prior to sharing).

  Well, kind of disappointing, but ok. You may want to update the screenshot within the WordPress Sharing Settings screen though, it still shows the Pin It button with a number after it in the Live Preview, which is why I thought something was broken.

  Hi Christina,

  That’s a great point. It would be confusing to see the sharing count in the preview but not in the live version. I’ve suggested it to our team for future improvements!
