Why did the upgrade cancellation not work?

I trialled the premium version of WordPress but found it was unsuitable for my needs. I tried to cancel the automatic upgrade on several occasions but each time the link would not work. I submitted a request to correct this and also mailed with clear instructions not to go ahead with the debit but got no response. I understand that a company can be busy have now incurred a penalty from my credit providor and am still unable to get a response. I need to have WordPress contact my credit providor and explain their error; and also to complete the cancellation as per previous requests.
