Why did you try to charge USD 499?

    Hello. At Aug 22nd 00:20 (Korea Standard Time) or 21st 08:20 (PST), I had got a SMS of payment USD 499 from (US) WORDPRESS. Fortunately, the credit card ([cc info redacted!]) has no limit to pay the amount, so it was not paid finally. I don’t understand why I should pay the amount. I’m using WordPress for client’s web site (wepnp with (email visible only to moderators and staff)), and my own webside (practicalmethods.kr with (email visible only to moderators and staff)) through GCP. I’m currently using both with free plan. Please let me know how to elaborate this situation and cancel the payment asap.

    I didn’t know if my support request will be shared like this. Please let me know how to remove this. Isn’t there anybody at WordPress to support this kind of billing issues?

    Hi there @wepnp I’ve removed the financial information you posted above. All support for free hosted websites is given here in our community forums and I believe there is a notice there regarding not sharing financial or contact information. Unfortunately, these public forums are quickly crawled and indexed by search engines so you may wish to consider taking any necessary steps to secure your cc information.

    You received that charge because you, or someone who has access to this WordPress.com account, attempted to buy a two-year subscription to our Business Plan on 21 August 2018 for the site wepnp.wordpress.com.

    If you did not do this, it means someone else has access to this account. Please update the account password immediately from the security settings page:

    Also consider removing the saved payment information we have on file for this account on the Billing History page so it cannot be re-used for future purchases:
