Why didn't I get notified about a new e-mail subscriber?

I noticed that I recently got a new e-mail follower, but I didn’t receive an e-mail that told me about it. When I first started blogging and got some e-mail followers, I got an e-mail telling me that someone signed up, their e-mail address, and the location.
