Why do all these empty text widgets keep appearing? Please remove. Thanks
-
WP support deleted 100 empty text widgets but they reappeared when I changed my theme

Howdy,
I’m not able to see the empty text widgets you’re referring to at Appearance -> Widgets?
Could you please describe the issue? You might try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies as a first step:

I’m afraid you’d need to remove these text widgets manually at Appearance -> Widgets.
How did this issue initially occur?
-
I had the same problem a few weeks ago. I contacted you folks and you deleted them. The guy who fixed it for me then had the same question. When I changed my theme recently they reappeared immediately–no action required on my part, I don’t think it’s a browser issue since I also have a test blog and it does not have the same problem — even though I’ve changed the theme several times.

We no longer have the ability to remove those in bulk, so you’ll need to manually remove them yourself.
Which themes did you change from and to that resulted in this?
-
Well-
I’m sorry you can’t help me because I’m certainly not going to touch them.
A. It would take hours to do this manually
B. I’ve done it before (when there were fewer of them) and they just reappeared.
The number of them has definitely increased. There were exactly 100 the first time I reported this problem. Now it seems there are more although I didn’t bother counting.
I switched from theme Twenty Ten to Twenty Eleven and settled on Bueno.
Thanks anyway.
